If you walk along the Römerweg on the sunny side of Kitzbühel, below the Kitzbüheler Horn, you will come to the Hinteroberau Farmhouse Museum.
Surrounded by lush meadows and green forests, the weathered typical Salzburg-Tyrolean farmhouse with its outbuildings, such as laundry, chapel, oven, bee hut and threshing floor, is stretched out over a long distance. A wealth of furnishings, equipment and tools are on display - it's well worth a visit! We offer you an hour's audio tour (also in 4 foreign languages) with a detailed museum guide who not only guides you around the house and explains the objects on display, but also provides additional background information to help you understand life on the farm in past decades and centuries.
