For Riders, By Riders

A bike challenge to prove your crew can really ride, complete 5 handpicked single trails in one day and unlock achievements to earn rewards.

Become a G.O.A.T.

The Dirty G.O.A.T. isn't just another bike challenge; it's about the passion and friendship of a group of riders who set out to create the perfect day of crew riding. We all agreed a perfect day includes 3 things:

1. Crew first. Create a strong vibe, make it fun and laugh about the stories afterwards.

2. Variety of trails. Something for everyone - flat-out enduro, creative & flowy, techy, jumps and berms for days.

3. A full-day program. Starting options from multiple locations with huts for breaks and/or lunch.

WHAT

So lets clear up the name first! G.O.A.T. means Greatest of All Time in sports terms. Goat is also the English translation of "Gams", Kitzbühel's famous logo. Dirty explains the process of getting covered in mud whilst riding with your friends and completing the challenge.

5 Single Trails make up the Dirty G.O.A.T and they must be completed in one day. You can ride them alone, but they best shared with friends.

It's hard enough to test your skills, but not so challenging you don't have time to chill between trails or take a couple of breaks and get something to eat. You'll need to be an experienced rider and it's unashamably not for beginners.

It's also our way of showing love to mountain bike community, we want you here in Kitzbühel and your crew is always welcome with us.

WHY

Because the best things in life don't come easily, and GOAT status has to be earned. You'll spend time with your friends, have loads of laughs and we guarantee good stories.

HOW

You can use this page to see all the trails or can click the link to our portal which gives you the route digitally. You'll need a full suspension MTB bike and the usual protective clothing for a day on the trails.

Fleckalm Trail

The go-to trail for experienced riders. Straight out of the gate you're on lose surfaces and dropping over routes. A fast open mid-section lets you recover slightly before the real fun starts in the forest. The difference between a dry and wet day really seperates the quality of riders in the groups. Once in the forest there are plenty of features to keep you occupied with more direct lines for advanced riders. Towards the lower half of things tighten up as you begin to feel the arm pump. Our tip, take your foot off the gas on the table tops - you don't want to run out of talent on the first trail.

Facts: 7.1 km, 789 m downhill, S3 difficulty

Gaisberg Trail

A Kirchberg classic. This trail hosted a World-Cup race back in the day and is firm favourite with local riders. It starts from the top of the chairlift with the same name and begins with slowing, yet steep turns. After 200 meters you have a decision to make - take on the drop with a small send, or rider past and hope your mates don't see. The combination of high speed sections and technical roots in the middle mean skills pay the bills for riders who can deliver when it counts.

Facts: 2.3 km, 450m downhill, S3 difficulty

Lisi Osl Trail

Named after 2009 World Cup champion this trail is all about riding position. With lose surfaces and very tight turns you need to be on your game. Easily accessed from the Gaisberlift, you'll drop into loose chalky surfaces and a series of rooty turns. Once you enter the forest it's on, full gas switchbacks and berms all the way. Watch out for the middle section in the wet as many riders have been know to run out of talent trying to gap the roots. The bottom section feels like a natural bike park as through the berms and table tops. There are two black graded drops towards the bottom which should you probably should ride blind. the final turns include the chance to gap a little stream which looks harder than it is. Live this trail to the full - it alway offers the best stories.

Facts: 2.3 km, 450 m downhill, difficulty S3 (when wet)

Sonnenrast Trail

The lastest offering for Kitzbühel's bike community. The trail was designed with novice riders in mind, although with the addition of a red jump line all riders can show their vreative flair. Starting out from the top of the Sonnenrast lift, 3 fiendly berms lead into an 8m high wooden northshore section, before additional berms which can be roosted by experienced riders. Crossing the gravel path, riders then have a choice blue or red jump lines. The jump lines require confience to clear the first few doubles. Our tip, check your speed on the first double, because clearing it leads directly into a spicy left hander. For blue line riders enjoy more northshore and flowing berms.

Facts: 1.8 km downhill: 133 m difficulty: S1

Hahnenkamm Trail

Go with the flow. You will be riding tirols longest flow trail at 7,2km long. With 5 sections, this burner will have you smiling from ear-to-ear. Expect to hear other riders whooping as their crews charge over 150 turns and they push each other to go harder. Quick riders can go top to bottom in under 15 minutes without stopping, whilst your average rider takes 20-25 min and beginners need 30 mins.

Just incase you're wondering, the course record is 12:06 mins with an average speed of 27.4 km set in 2021. Thats quick!

Facts: 7.2 km downhill: 850 m difficulty: S2

RIDE. RESPECT. REPEAT.
