In some places you feel particularly well, maybe even suddenly better. Power places have existed since time immemorial - often the power place is an old tree, special rock formations or simply a bench or a lookout point. The power places in Kitzbühel are numerous and very different. We have found a few power places that we would like to introduce to you.
The Schwarzsee
Early in the morning, wisps of fog still lie over the water. Behind the Kitzbüheler Horn, the morning sun's rays are already winking out. The first swimmers are doing their laps in the cool water. The untouched nature along the lakeshore, the scent of the moor water. The Schwarzsee is an almost magical place of power in Kitzbühel.
The Hausbergkante
The Hausbergkante or rather the "Wanderbankerl" at the Hausbergkante: hike the Hausbergkante in the late afternoon via the Hausbergtal. Directly at the Hausbergkante, a bench invites you to linger during the summer months. Observe Kitzbühel from above. Enjoy the silence just a few meters above the town. From the hustle and bustle in the "Stadl", as the Kitzbühel people like to call the city center, nothing can be felt up here - except the power of nature.
The Kitzbüheler Horn
Experience the sunrise at the Kitzbüheler Horn, when the sky slowly turns a bright orange. No rays of sunshine can be seen yet, but it seems as if all around you nature is already feeling the dawn and a flurry of activity is taking place. Starting the day on the mountain with a sunrise is a sublime experience. Experience an unforgettable 360° view at the summit of the Kitzbüheler Horn. Take a deep breath - let the tranquility take effect on you and recharge your batteries.
Bichlach – The pond paradise
The Bichlach - the name comes from the bicheligen, or hilly, terrain - is the hilly section between Reith and Kitzbühel and is crisscrossed with an extensive network of paths. The originally humpbacked moorland around the Bichlach was formed by glaciers during the last ice age and today is reminiscent of an English country estate.
The Bichlach area in Reith with its water bodies such as the Gieringer Weiher and the Vogelsberger Weiher is an ideal recreational area. The Bichlach - a place of power that enchants its visitors with its lovely landscape.
The view of Aurach
The Gschwand tree
High above the Gamsstadt, in the middle of the forest, towers a huge, ancient spruce, 43 meters high with a trunk circumference of around six meters. The widest projection of the branches is seven meters. In 2003, the Gschwand tree was declared a natural monument. The mighty spruce is actually a so-called "Schermtax", i.e. a spruce standing alone near a cattle shepherd's hut and used to serve the cattle, who preferred to stay outdoors, as a shepherd's hut (umbrella) against the midday heat. The Gschwandbaum can be found above the Malernalm among other spruces. Enjoy the tranquility that radiates from this place of power with its century-old spruce.
