Only a SMALL selection of the most beautiful ski huts

The return swing

A stop in a cozy ski hut is simply part of a good day's skiing. No ski day without a snack, a hearty soup or a grandiose Kaiserschmarren. Everyone has his or her preferences. There are over 60 ski huts in the Kitzbühel ski area, and none is like the other. From the noble Ski Alm to the rustic ski hut, everything is there. The choice is not so easy and as is well known, tastes are usually different.

That's why we at Team Kitzbühel Tourism have given it some thought. Our colleagues reveal to our readers a few culinary insider tips and, above all, WHY it is their favorite ski lodge.

Sweet Dreams on the slope

Maja from Marketing raves about the mountain breakfast at Berghaus Tirol. "A good mountain breakfast with homemade crusty bread is just the right refreshment for a loooong day on the snowboard. The earlier I'm on the ski slope the more space for me and my board. P.S.: If you love your board, you'll sometimes push it to your favorite hut."

Kaiserschmarn

Laughing is healthy

Lisa our marketing specialist, likes it cheerful: "Lisi from the Hahnenkammstüberl, is always up for a good joke, it's fun to stop in here and is only a few steps away from the Hahnenkamm lift. For me, there is the BEST Kaiserschmarren here. A visit to Lisi's is a must for me, whether on foot in summer or on snowshoes in winter."

Gericht der Bruggeralm

Rustic, earthy and genuine

Christoph our hiking guide, especially likes to go to the Bruggeralm in Jochberg: "Old, but very good, is the over 300 years old Bruggeralm. So much charm! The rustic parlor with the tiled stove is especially cozy. Good traditional Tyrolean dishes are served here, it tastes like home, so good! Accessible by car in summer and directly on the ski slope in winter. I LOVE to go up here on foot."

Lounge mit Ofen

Pure sunshine

Nicoletta from the guest information loves it cozy: "So the hut with the most hours of sunshine is? For me, quite clearly, the Bichlalm. The quiet location and the magnificent view of the mountains is unique for me. Also because of the Backhendl from the chef Jürgen I come by regularly. I LOVE to sit in the Bichlalm Lounge, here you have the feeling as if you were sitting in the middle of the mountains. Another espresso and then it's back on the skis."

Berge mit Schnee

Besides the legendary Streif

Martin from the event department prefers it rustic: "Well, the spinach dumplings at the Hocheckhütte on the Hahnenkamm are simply unbeatable! Cozy and traditional, that's how I like it! Also on Friday evenings Hocheck is always worth a visit, here you always meet familiar faces. Caution: Who rings the bell at the lamp, pays the next round. Where exactly the bell is, however, is not revealed."

Skihütte

Directly at the mountain station

Anna Lena, our press lady: "I'm a fan of Tomschy, right at the Hahnenkammbahn mountain station. I like a party atmosphere after skiing! In addition to regional delicacies and selected wines, for example, you can dance to the beats of the hottest DJ's every Saturday until 5:30 pm at Hochkitzbühel. For me, the ideal balance to skiing - après ski at its best! A visit to Tomschy is summer or winter, always an experience."

Skihütte

Since childhood at the Kitzbüheler Horn

Bettina from the social media department: "Ever since I was a child, I have loved going to the Hornköpfelhütte on the Kitzbüheler Horn. Even with my grandparents, I was there regularly in winter and summer. The Pressknödelsuppe (dumpling soup) after a ski tour always tastes particularly good there. For me pure hut feeling! In summer with the Hornköpfelsee a beautiful place with a fantastic view of the mountains all around."

Berghütte bei Nacht

Tamara from the guest information particularly likes the Seidlalm. "A traditional alpine hut with a lot of history is managed by 3 young girls from the area. Particular attention is paid to regional products. The associated agriculture is run with a lot of heart and soul. My highlight is the breakfast in summer. This is served on weekends as a buffet form with great attention to detail. Also in winter, the Seidlalm is always worth a visit, warm up with hot Granglwasser (cranberry water) or a warm egg liqueur with whipped cream. Only in this way it will be a perfect ski day!"

Once to Jochberg and back

Helmut from Marketing likes it sporty: "My favorite is the Bärenbadalm directly at the summit of the Bärenbadkogel in Jochberg. Some great slopes before the stop are a must. I especially like the regional dishes, so the decision is not always easy. A MUST for me, the homemade cake for dessert! The fast service is great and cool live music there's also. Looking forward to my next ski day."
