Schaukäserei Wilder Käser | Kirchdorf

Since when has cheese existed at all? Why are Tyrolean cows happy? Do the two stinkers really deserve their name? You can learn all this and much more in the modern 400 square meter showroom of the Tyrolean show dairy Wilder Käser: Everything cheese in words and pictures! Here you can watch the hand-processed delicacies ripening, ask the Wild Cheesemaker many questions and take a look (through glass) into the sacred craft halls, where the Wilder Käser turns around 1,200 liters of hay milk into 700 delicious cheese loaves every day. The oldest mountain pine distillery in the world is located in St. Ulrich am Pillersee. For over 150 years, the Mack company has been processing mountain pine, silver fir, meadow hay and arnica from the Tyrolean high mountains into high-quality care products. During a guided tour through the distillery as well as through the museum with historical treasures, visitors learn everything about the elaborate production of the sought-after mountain pine oil. The invigorating and regenerating effect of mountain pine oil is not only used for fitness and beauty products, but the oil is also used as a healing agent in Bad Reichenhall spa therapy. In the in-house store, high-quality body care products, healing baths, teas and sweets made from herbs can be purchased with expert advice.

Zillertaler Heumilch Sennerei | Fügen

The Zillertal show dairy in Fügen provides insights into the daily work of the cheese masters and reveals interesting facts about the production of cheese. All cheeses produced in the alpine dairy are close to nature and are made from the purest hay milk. In the cheese dairy museum, the history of the dairy is presented and illustrates how cheese was produced 100 years ago with very simple equipment and tools. In Fügen, in the heart of the Zillertal, high-quality as well as tasty bacon has been produced in the in-house smokehouse since 1640. The family-run business has been owned by the Pfister family from the very beginning, and its secret recipes have been passed down from generation to generation and constantly refined. The specialties of the Zillertaler Speckstube are produced by the boss and senior chef personally. In addition to our famous bacon, you will also find a wide selection of hearty sausages as well as traditional schnapps and local cheeses. After the tour of the traditional production facilities, guests then have the opportunity to purchase a piece of Tyrolean food culture in direct sales in our store in a cozy atmosphere.
