Over 100,000 glass plates and paper prints in the archives of the city of Kitzbühel have documented the history of the city and its people through photography for over 150 years – a medium whose business foundations have changed significantly in the last 30 years. At 7:00 PM, Kitzbühel photographer Markus Mitterer will speak with museum director Wido Sieberer and curator Michael Rainer about his long-standing work and the marketing of photography since the 1990s. His career has taken him from advertising photography to a renowned image agency and roles as a TV cameraman (sports, politics, science) to self-employment. Since the early 2000s, he has successfully realized book and calendar projects as well as sought-after wall images, and today he is considered one of the most famous photographers in Kitzbühel.
