Handel's work stands for melodic beauty and dramatic expressiveness. You can look forward to a duet between two extraordinary instruments and rarities such as the Organ Concerto No. 8 for organ and harpsichord as well as arrangements of well-known pieces such as the ‘Hallelujah’ from the oratorio Messiah or the aria ‘Ombra mai fu’ from his opera Xerxes, known as the ‘Largo’. Andreas Gilger is a master of his craft and is one of the leading harpsichordists of the younger generation.
