02.06.2022 / On the occasion of the 21st Summer Theater Kitzbühel, the comedy "Gate 23" will celebrate its premiere on July 28th, 2022 at the K3 KitzKongress - and can then be marveled at in August in the concert hall of the Landesmusikschule Kitzbühel.
An entertaining chamber play about chance and destiny in life
This year, the Kitzbühel Summer Theater is once again putting on a program directed by Reinhard Hauser. This time the comedy "Gate 23" by successful author Stefan Vögel. In the play, business traveler Patrick, who has to go to Singapore for a business meeting, and mathematician Ela, who is on her way to New York for a heart operation, get to know each other at the airport at Gate 23. They are observed by ground hostess Silke, who has to endure Patrick's choleric fit when his plane is cancelled, and barman Toni, who has his eye not only on the two of them, but especially on Silke. Suddenly Heiner shows up. An older gentleman who seems to know more about the future of the others than they do themselves.
"flying" transfer from K3 to the LMS
This year, the performers of the Summer Theater "travel" not only on stage, but also in real life. The gala premiere with champagne reception and flying buffet will take place on July 28th, 2022 at 6.30 p.m. as in previous years at the K3 KitzKongress. After the premiere, the Summer Theater will move to the Landesmusikschule Kitzbühel, Traunsteinerweg 15 for the other performances. Tickets already purchased remain valid.

Tickets for the performances in July (at the KitzKongress) and August (at the concert hall of the Landesmusikschule Kitzbühel) are available from EUR 15,- in advance at Kitzbühel Tourismus, Sparkasse Kitzbühel and Ö-Ticket. In addition, the box office opens at 7.00 p.m. on performance days.
