It doesn’t require any special skills, it is almost as fast as skiing and it is definitely just as much fun: tobogganing is an excellent adventure for people of all ages. For a particularly great tobogganing experience, why not combine it with a trip to a traditional mountain hut? After refuelling on a hearty meal, it’s time to head off down the toboggan run.
Equipment: Sturdy shoes, snow-resistant pants and jacket, gloves, helmet and ski goggles.
Sitting correctly: One hand holds the rope, one hand reaches the back of the sled, put both feet on the runners.
Brakes: place both feet on the side of the sled in the snow; the whole sole has contact with the ground. Lift the slide in front with both hands and stay seated.
Steer correctly: Use the heel of one foot to press into the ground, lean the upper body into the bend. Use left foot for left turn, right foot for right turn.
Take into consideration: everyone has to be considerate regardless of speed: Safety has the right of way!
Keep your distance: Do not drive too close to the person in front.
