The Kitzbühel region offers a diverse selection of via ferratas. Via ferrata routes are metal cables with rungs or ladders permantely attached to the rock. This allows beginners and families to safely enjoy great summit experiences. You can find these routes in various degrees of difficulty, which range from A (difficult) to E (extremely difficult).
The liberating feeling of having reached the destination under your own power is an experience that blends adrenaline and awe-inspiring landscapes.
To ensure safety on the via ferratas, the right equipment is essential. Via ferrata sets contain a climbing harness, helmet and safety lanyard to attach yourself to the cable. These are available to rent from many of the towns sports shops. Appropriate clothing and sports shoes are also required as the weather can change quickly in the mountains.
