Kitzbüheler Advent - Christmas Market

During Advent, Reith transforms into a charming winter village, offering a varied programme for young and old alike:

• 6 December: Waiting for St. Nicholas from 3 pm at Krumma – crafting and writing letters to the Christkind.

• 6 December: St. Nicholas at the Music Pavilion at 5 pm, organised by Klangwelle.

• 17 December: Advent Concert of the Regional Music School at 6:30 pm in the Parish Church, Reith near Kitzbühel.

• 20 December: Advent Market at the Village Shop from 2 pm to 6 pm.

• 24 December: Children’s Christmas Eve Care by the Rural Youth from 1 pm to 4 pm in the multipurpose room, Dorf 22.

• 30 December: Ski Show on the Reith ski meadow.

During Advent, Jochberg offers a heart-warming programme for young and old alike:

• 22 November: Krampus Run with the Goastoa Pass at 6:00 pm, Wagstättlift car park.
• 23 & 30 November: Pre-Christmas Market – s’Amtl, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Handmade Christmas items from the region, mulled wine, and a cosy get-together.
• 29 November: Advent Gathering at the parish courtyard from 2:00 pm, followed by the blessing of Advent wreaths.
• 30 November: Lighting of the first Advent candle at s’Amtl from 4:00 pm. Festive music by our Anklöpfler and a sociable evening.
• 4 December: Lighting of the second Advent candle at the Kempinski “Das Tirol” from 4:00 pm. Festive music by our Anklöpfler and a sociable evening.
• 4 December: St. Barbara Devotion at 6:00 pm in the Jochberg mine.
• 5 December: St. Nicholas with Krampus (Goastoa Pass) from 5:00 pm at the Schwarzen Adler. Complimentary drinks and snacks – donations in aid of the Jochberg Mountain Rescue.
• 5 December: St. Barbara Mass at 7:00 pm in St. Wolfgang Parish Church.
• 7 December: Christmas Market with St. Nicholas Reception from 2:00 pm. Christmas crafts, regional delicacies, brass musicians, nativity play by the Jochberg Primary School, and a St. Nicholas reception – this year with a photo point.
• 11 December: Lighting of the third Advent candle at Gasthof Jodlbühel from 4:00 pm. Festive music by our Anklöpfler and a sociable evening.
• 12 December: Start of the Winter Season from 8:30 am – Wagstättbahn opens (www.kitzski.at).
• 12 December: Charity Concert by the Jochberg Rural Youth with Johanns Erben at 8:00 pm. Mulled wine, punch, and roasted chestnuts.
• 13 December: Free Ski Test at Schiladl Jochberg from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. Brands: Black Crows, Head, and Elan.
• 13 December: Season Opening with Local Inns at Wagstättbahn from 12:00 to 4:30 pm featuring Sara De Blue.
• 13 December: Grand Ski Opening at Hofalm from 4:30 pm with live music by Volks Beat – free admission.
• 18 December: Lighting of the fourth Advent candle at Schwarzen Adler from 4:00 pm. Festive music by our Anklöpfler and a sociable evening.
• 24 December: Christmas Eve at St. Wolfgang Parish Church. Children’s Mass at 4:00 pm, Midnight Mass at 10:00 pm.
• 25 December: Feast of the Nativity (Christmas Day) at 10:00 am in St. Wolfgang Parish Church – Solemn Mass.
• 5 January: Epiphany Concert by the Jochberg Choral Society at 7:00 pm in St. Wolfgang Parish Church – advance ticket sales.

During Advent, Aurach offers a diverse and atmospheric programme:

• 15 & 16 November: Hechenmoos Advent Market at Pension Noichl from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  With Jutta’s petting zoo, hunting horn players, many gift ideas, Stickkiste Michaela Heuberger, KunsTraum Josy Aufschnaiter, Mittern Organic Poultry Farm, products from Kasplatzl, and herbal specialist Margret Landmann. Culinary delights await you at Café Noichl.
• 29 November: Advent Wreath Blessing and Market at 3:30 pm in Oberaurach village square.
• 29 November: Nativity Scene Exhibition at Aurach Primary School from 2:00 to 7:00 pm.
• 30 November: Nativity Scene Exhibition at Aurach Primary School from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
• 6 December: Rural Youth Gathering from 5:30 pm at Aurach village square.
  Afterwards, at 6:00 pm, St. Nicholas will arrive at the village square and hand out St. Nicholas bags to the children.
• 7 December: Rorate Mass at 6:00 am in Aurach Parish Church.
• 8 December: Feast Mass at 8:30 am in Aurach Parish Church.
  From 11:00 am to 4:00 pm: Peaceful Advent in Aurach Wildlife Park – experience a contemplative and romantic Advent afternoon with savoury and sweet treats, mulled wine, punch, and much more.

• 8 December: Advent Singing at 7:00 pm in Aurach Parish Church with the group 4-Klang and the Aurach Quartet. Narrator: Mag. Gustav Themel. Voluntary donations.
• 23 December: Nativity Play by the Aurach Rural Youth at 7:30 pm in Aurach Parish Church, followed by refreshments at the village square.
