Kitzbühel is known far beyond its borders as a destination with tradition and extraordinary charm. During the Christmas season, Kitzbühel is transformed into a magical place where the winter fairy tale comes true against the picturesque backdrop of Kitzbühel's colorful and decorated house facades. From November to December 2025, the Advent market in the Hinterstadt as well as in the Stadtpark is open to visit. Enjoy the Christmas season in Tyrol and let yourself be enchanted.

The scent of hot chestnuts and fruit punch is in the air. Childhood memories are awakened at the traditional Kitzbühel Advent. Regional delicacies and traditional handicrafts can be found at numerous lovingly decorated stalls. Mulled wine is drunk from specially designed Advent cups, while performances by local choirs and music groups provide an atmospheric setting. Storytellers and the nativity scene exhibition bring the joy of Christmas closer. There are also plenty activities for kids. Children can shorten the wait for Christmas Eve by painting christmas stars, riding the carousel, watching the St. Nicholas parade on 6 December, or visiting the magical Christkindl (Christ child) post office.

Stations and parking lots

The Gamsstadt in the middle of the Kitzbühel mountains is characterized by its perfect location and easy accessibility. Whether you arrive by train or by car - enjoy the mountain world relaxed and carefree.

There are numerous, free and paid, parking lots in and around Kitzbühel, from which you can reach the historic city center on foot. The parking lots P1 and P4 are also designed for buses.

If you arrive by train, it is best to get off at the station "Zentrum - Hahnenkamm". From there you are in a few minutes walk directly in the heart of the Advent Market.
