A mid length route of medium difficulty that incorporates the famous Kitzbuehel World Cup-ski pistes.
Starting from the Pfarrau car park the Ganslern-Trail begins on flat terrain heading west towards Lake Schwarzsee. At the Schwarzsee railway station the route travels underneath the railway line and then crosses the main road, keeping to the forest path at the edge of the forest at all times, in an undulating, easterly direction. The trail encounters a brief steep section on the open meadows near the lift for the legendary Streif slalom ski run, which you head past travelling in an easterly direction. Further on, the Ganslern-Trail heads down towards the Valley Station of the Hahnenkamm Cable Car and back to the starting point.
