Kitzbühel Triathlon

On June 15th and 16th, Kitzbühel will again be all about triathlon sports. A diverse program of top-level sport with an Elite European Cup, amateur sport in the Jedermann Sprint and the KitzTriGames, one of the largest triathlons for children, is offered. This year the Kitzbühel triathlon club is once again organizing the Gamsstadt Corporate & Jedermann relay triathon - a competition where fun, the joy of exercise, team spirit and team building are in the foreground.

There are a wide variety of rating classes, in addition to company and everyone's ratings, you can also decide between your own breaststroke or crawl rating. Above all, the companies' corporate races are very important to the triathlon club, as you can find the opportunity to grow together in your free time and have a great experience together. All you need are 1 swimming goggles, 1 bike helmet, 1 pair of running shoes, lots of team spirit and lots of fun.

The distances were chosen to be manageable for everyone with 200 m swimming, 6 km cycling and 2 km running. Each relay consists of 3 starters, whereby only mixed teams are allowed. The start will be on Saturday, June 15th at 14:00 p.m. Wolfgang Fuchs, chairman of the triathlon association, is particularly excited about the best dressed team rating – maybe it's exactly your company, who will probably win this rating?

If the relay distances are too short for you, you can compete with other athletes in the Age Group Sprint Triathlon (750 m swim, 18 km bike and 5 km run) on Saturday from 11.30 a.m. In addition, the Kitzbühel Sprint Triathlon is also one of the qualifying races for the Europe Triathlon European Championships 2024 on the sprint distance, which can still deliver the important points to get a starting place there.

The next day, on June 16th, the focus will be on children and young people with one of the largest national junior races. The KitzTriGames are the crowning glory on the Sunday of the race. The competitions are also part of the ÖTRV Super Sprint Junior Cup and the EUREGIO ASVÖ Kindertriathlon Zug and welcome more than 400 young triathletes from over 10 nations every year. As part of the KitzTriGames, the Tyrolean and Austrian champions who may one day represent Austria at the next Olympics will also be determined.

The area around the race center at Schwarzsee offers athletes and the public ideal conditions for exciting races. Admission to all races is free.

The Kitzbühel Triathlon will take place again this summer from Friday, June 14th to Sunday, June 16th, 2024. 1,000 triathletes will participate. There will be traffic disruptions in the areas of Lebenberg, Steuerberg, Schwarzseestraße, Reitherstraße, Seebichlweg, Bichlachweg, Lebenbergstraße, Achrainweg, and surrounding areas. The exact times of road closures will be announced soon. Additionally, caution is advised on the specified roads in the weeks leading up to the triathlon due to increased cyclist traffic.
